It's been a while since my last post. Life gets away from you sometimes. I also haven't posted because I've been having a hard time staying dedicated to the SCD. It's a shame because, at this point in my treatment, proper diet controls my condition much more effectively than any medication. I'll be trying to get back into the swing of things soon.
So for all of you who've been waiting for more here's a quick and simple recipe for the smoothie that I have every morning.
1/2 large frozen banana
1 cup SCD yogurt
2 tbsp honey
1 cup frozen fruit - I like strawberries, raspberries, and peaches.
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Using frozen fruit instead of fresh ingredients gives this smoothie a nice frozen texture. Sometimes I have this as a desert since the texture is so close to soft-serve ice cream.
